Reading/Book Lists

find titles that fit your child's reading ability

First, teachers assign a reading level to a student based on his/her individual reading ability.  The student knows what level of book to pick based on the colored dot on the book's spine.  The books at Brush Creek Elementary are coded according to the following reading levels:

0: small red, 1: red, 2: lilac, 3: green, 4: black, 5: yellow, 6: sky blue, 7: turquoise, 8: orange, 9: pink, 10 and above: hot pink.

Second, you can find a list of books based on these reading levels by accessing the school's library database at:  http://destiny.eagleschools.net/  (then click Brush Creek, Catalog, Visual Search, Accelerated Reader)
