4th Grade Colorado History Trip

by Bobcat Council last modified March 29, 2007 01:45 PM

All 4th grade students are invited to attend our trip.  The location of the trip and the number of days/nights has varied in the past few years.  Originally the trip was to the Colorado National Monument, but closer destinations have also been used. The trip is usually 3-4 days, including 2-3 overnights.  The trip was designed as an opportunity for a hands-on field experience for students.  It serves as a culminating activity for year-long studies in Colorado history and geology.  It fosters team-building, independence, and responsibility in an outdoor setting.

There is a fee for the trip, which varies each year, depending on the success of our fundraisers.  The fee in 2006 was $50 per child. Parent volunteers are needed for fundraising, and for being an adult chaperones on the trip.

Contact the 4th grade teachers for all the information.
